Easy Advanced Translations - Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using the Easy Advanced Translations Shopify app (the “App”), you (“the User”) agree to these terms and conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must cease use of the App immediately.

Functionality:
The App translates Shopify store content into multiple languages via AI-based translation. The User may select different engines, including a Basic Engine (free up to specified limits) or their own API keys (e.g., Google Translate, OpenAI, DeepSeek).

Usage Tiers and Billing:
a. Each subscription plan includes a free tier (e.g., up to 100 products, 150 variants, 100 metafields, 30 articles, etc.).
b. Exceeding the free tier incurs pay-as-you-go fees, calculated at the rate equivalent to the current OpenAI lowest model cost, per translation unit, which is approximately $0.0000040 per token.
c. For example, if the free tier covers 100 products but 120 product-language pairs are translated, the excess 20 are billed.

Billing Controls and Safeguards:
For AI engines such as OpenAI and DeepSeek, we do not recommend enabling automatic or unlimited billing. Users should set explicit usage limits to control AI-related costs, particularly in the event of server errors, misconfigurations, or unexpected usage spikes. We recommend configuring billing usage notifications or quota alerts with your AI provider so you are notified when your usage is nearing its limit or quota.

API Keys:
Users who provide their own API keys (e.g., Google, OpenAI, DeepL) are solely responsible for any charges incurred through their usage.

Liability:
a. The App provides translations via AI. We do not guarantee accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.
b. We assume no liability for any costs, losses, or damages arising from translation accuracy, billing charges, or reliance on translated content.
c. We are not responsible for any charges from third-party APIs or User API usage.
d. The App is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Acceptance of Terms:
These Terms are effective immediately upon use of the App. Continued usage constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

Modifications:
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be subject to the Terms in effect at the time of use.

Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in UK jurisdiction.
